UHL Mission

FIVE REASONS TO SUPPORT UNITED HEROES LEAGUE

#5 OUR MISSION

“Helping military families build confidence, friendships, and engagement through sports.”

United Heroes League actively works to ensure that children of military service members can afforded every opportunity to participate in sports. We have provided over $12 MILLION worth of free sports equipment, game tickets, cash grants, sports camps and special experiences to military families across the US & Canada.

#4 OUR RESPONSIBILITY

United Heroes League is extremely fiscally responsible with donations.  Our audited giving percentage ranges between 85 and 90% annually. According to the American Institute of Philanthropy, CharityWatch considers a charity to be highly efficient when the end calculations produce a Program percentage of 75% or higher, and a Cost to Raise $100 of $25 or less. (https://www.charitywatch.org/charitywatch-criteria-methodology)

#3 OUR FAMILIES

There are 5 million military kids serving along side of their parents each day.  According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, deployments for military members in the United States have increased in both frequency and length over the past 10 years. As a result of these deployments, many children from military families have experienced absences of one or both parents. More than 2 million United States children have been affected directly by a parent’s deployment.  Our mission is to keep these military kids active and healthy through engagement in sports and experiences.

#2 OUR REASON

84% of the US military is comprised of enlisted service members.  The financial burden of sports equipment, camps, association dues, etc. can often eclipse more than 10% of a gross salary of an enlisted service member.  Your contribution to our support of military families can be the difference between a child playing a sport or not.

#1 OUR GOAL

United Heroes League wants to ensure that all 5 million military kids are able to develop critical life skills through sports.  This intense focus on  youth development and serving the families of our military service members motivates us to keep programs focused.  This focus has also inspired over 115 professional athletes and over 30 professional sports franchises to lend their name and support to United Heroes League.
